Hi everyone...

Been coming to SB since 1990...my sons grew up there...to say it's been part of my life is an understatement...it is my French mistress that my wife has let indulge almost yearly...unfortunately, haven't been there since Covid...

Here's the problem....my son is a bona fide golf addict...for that matter, now so is my wife...Dad likes to play occasionally...for Spring break...we will probably go to FL for a few days for Mom and him to play golf...then a week on SB to chill....putting him on a golf course is a good way for Dad to get to read a book, smoke a Cuban cigar, and enjoy the French scenery...

So...if he starts to have golf withdrawal on SB...is there a range, an indoor facility...whatever so Dad can indulge his French mistress...

Part of me says leave Junior home...or tell him to learn how to get off his phone and relax...but just in case...

I doubt anyone owns so much as a putter on ST. Barths.
A quick flight to a neighboring island?

There was a driving range of sorts in GCdS at one point. Think it went out of biz.

Quick flight to another island? Yes...I know some people do that...not me...Funny story....back in the day, we would run into Andy from the Hideaway at the airport when we were coming in...he had his golf bag with him and would be island hopping for golf...on his way out, he would say....be back in the day...the mussels are all ready for you guys.....I think he was a golf addict too...

If you want to spring $500 RT for a 15 minute flight on AAS to Anguilla, the course at Aurora is beautiful.

With luck and staying open to different island experiences, he will learn to enjoy other things in life. Could he go home through Puerto Rico and play a round there before or after his mind blowing SBH experience?

Grateful mine stopped whining after middle school.

Do what I do, tell him not to come. Children should not be allowed on St Barts. Let him whine elsewhere. Enjoy your stay.

For some reason, my memory tells me that legend had it was a golf course in Lurin then a hurricane came and blew it away. Locals said it was an act of God and decided not to rebuild. I wonder if it was true or a story that Mario regaled me with over espressos.

There was a driving range for hitting balls into a pond on GCdS a few decades ago. That’s the only golf operation that I remember on the island. Mario, well he could pull your leg or tell you the truth, and you would never know the difference.

I remember some sort of golf/driving range out past Lorient but that was many years ago-St Maarten I believe has a golf course(Mullet Bay)
