I've been reading about this for a few days now. Have to wonder if they are going to reopen the island for tourism with proof of vaccine only. That would take a huge chunk out of the next several months of tourism -- likely through mid to even late summer based on current expectations that the US will not even have enough vaccine stored for all residents until late May.

Of course, the irony of requiring a vaccine to visit an island where there appears to be a sizeable anti-vaccine movement is not lost on me...

Whether EU members will find enough common ground to reach an agreement or will act independently on vaccine passports remains to be seen.

France has been among the member states in which concerns about the concept of vaccine passports have been most strongly raised.

A French perspective is provided (in English) here.

From a US perspective, the CDC has not updated travel recommendations at this point with ~10% of the population “fully vaccinated” ( ~30% for the > 65’s).
