My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Dadaye in July, 2024 while celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and it was one of the best experiences we've had on our many visits to St Barth since our original trip on our honeymoon! Definitely a great choice to celebrate a special occasion!
Villa owner Rosita gave us the most warm and personal greeting at the villa, explaining the history of her family's many generations on the island and its connection to the property which was very special. She left us a beautiful welcome gift of wine and pastries from the nearby bakery and congratulated us on our anniversary. All throughout our stay, Rosita was extremely responsive and helpful - even stopping by to say hi while we were dining at the same restaurant on Bastille Day to enjoy the festivities! That was a special memory for sure!
The villa itself is incredible! Every space was new, modern and luxurious, and the amenities were in tip-top shape. The pool, although not being heated, was one of the warmest pools we've encountered in SBH as it gets morning through late afternoon sun and is constructed of dark slate tiles that absorb the warm sunshine. The exercise room was well outfitted with quality equipment and was a nice extra. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were spacious, modern and comfortable with lots of clever organization and lighting. The kitchen was also amazing with top-notch appliances and clever amenities including an honor bar that was well-stocked upon our arrival. There are so many other positives of the villa itself, you just have to see first-hand to experience. But the best compliment I can provide is that the pictures online don't do it justice - it is truly one of those rare places where it is even better in person than captured virtually!
We were a little concerned about the proximity of Villa Dadaye to the main road through Lorient and being next to the Lorient shopping center. But this was not an issue at all for us, and we are very particular about noise - especially in SBH! In fact, the location was very convenient, not just for the nearby market and shops, but was an easy starting point for driving to all other parts of the island. We even enjoyed the walk toward St Jean from the villa at sunset - it was stunning!
