They just opened it last week. There is a pretty thorough article about it in this week's Le Journal.

Even St. Martin has a "bus service".
I've used it many times. Last time it cost me $1 from Maho to Snoopy Island (Marina area). Stand at roadside and hold a hand up when you see the bus/van, they pull over for you. Mostly a locals things, but anyone can ride.

Sounds like a win-win. Gustavia gets more available parking spaces without paving over land and the bad actors get to contribute to the Govt. coffers.

I've used it too. I think it was a dollar. Mostly large minivans of a certain vintage.

Crusty oversized vans. It helped to act more like a traveler than a tourist.

Very much the peoples' bus. I sorta stuck out, even though I was local then.

So, the COM has added shuttle stops in Lorient and Saline.
I downloaded the COM's app and find the interactive map of stop locations and directions, but I don't seem to find the time schedules for the service ???
Also, this FB post invites locals and visitors to use the service. Do I recall the initial plan was for use by locals not visitors ???

I think that recollection is correct. Note, however, that, in my experience, riding the bus only required that the system’s app had to be downloaded & presented to the driver at boarding. As a result, anyone resourceful enough to download the app could ride. As far as schedule, I didn’t see one, Nonetheless, I observed that a bus would pass by about every 15 minutes.

This passage from Thursday the 23's Le Journal seems to suggest that the shuttle (at least) targets residents and not visitors ???

This passage from Thursday the 23's Le Journal seems to suggest that the shuttle (at least) targets residents and not visitors ???

It is targeted to residents, but others seem to be welcome — all you need to do is get the QR code, which is available (a) from the Collectivité‘s website (I couldn’t wade through the French) and (b) at each bus stop (which is how I got it). A few simple questions are asked in order to download it.
