Spending a lot of time on St. Barths offers unusual opportunities to develop personal relationships with ”locals,” and I’m blessed in this regard in a friendship with L’Esprit host Tof Laurent & family . . . including Sabine, recognized by many for her work at Le Jardin. Tonight saw us gathering for dinner at Villa CEC while Sabine & Tof’s two eldest “boys” are home from France.
I’m blessed in our friendship in many respects . . . among them being Tof’s skills as a chef & his readiness to partner with me in assuring a successful dinner!
He, thus, generously takes charge of our main courses (tonight, a Beef Tenderloin roast & salmon). My contributions, apart from tasty appetizers, were a cool, refreshing gazpacho
and DF “Potatoes Anna.”
Dinner came at sunset
. . . with a happy family at evening close.
Completing clean-up, I savored a glass of our lovely dinner wine.
