Andra found it getting off the plane…. I’m a later boomer. Need another 10 days but need retirement which is 5 years away for that. Up with the chickens, literally. Pastry at 6AM & coffee, sit outside at Colombe watching the day start for the hard working men & women. I give them credit for sweating & keeping everything running. “Electric sunrise “ this morning, like a light show from God. Morning dip in the pool before heading toward Lorient to Monoprix. Haven’t been in there yet, very nice. Made a quick visit to pay respect to Johnny. Off to Gustavia & yes I find parking along the harbor! Grab some cigars at my usual spot across from Select… then of course a cold one to wash back the trail dust. Andra looking in some shops & we pick up a few gifts for home…. thinking of the less fortunate 😢. Lot of people off the cruise ship, nice talking with them. Back to home base for a dip. Reservation at Eddy’s tonight. We we’re welcomed with a friendly stray… very sweet that purrrrs in French, seriously.
We have met up with a couple from NYCity who we see every year, Mark & Eva. They been coming here for maybe 40 years & they are tight with many locals. Lot of great stories. Eddy’s was half full a 8:00, surprisingly…. usually we are first ones. Andra had the Mahi & I the Curry Goat. After dinner we had the chocolate spring rolls, OMG! Wonderful way to end the day… but of course a night cap at Select. I keep saying we’ll find another place to clean the palate, but it really is a place with this great vibe & my Chicago Cubs sticker is still there since 2016!! not changing a thing except maybe upgrade that sticker next visit. Great night sleep & have a very steady rain around maybe 1AM , Chris the man overseeing the place said 10 cm rain. Couple day till back to our regular grind, enjoying every minute!

PS, I didn’t do any pool cleaning today

When finished at the JoJo, one must pay respects to JH. Is that sign "permanent" and are those lights on it?

I think the anniversary of JH’s death was this week, so I suspect that the signage is commemorating the occasion. Typically, many people come to SBH in a pilgrimage to the gravesite at the anniversary. The signage is likely from an ardent fan . . . and temporary.

You’ve found the groove! Congratulations! I also used to see Mark & Eva annually, but haven’t crossed paths in recent years — always a nice couple.

Yes, lots of lights attached. It’s seems as the flowers & lettering change yearly. Some florist has nice job security here
