As a Texas resident without a nonstop flight to SXM but with nonstop flights to STT, this is big. Nice to have another option instead of just SJU/TW for flexibility and hopefully it'll breed some competition/better pricing.

They fly Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander. I am not familiar with that craft. The flight is 1 hour and 25 minutes, which is a bit long on a turboprop to my taste. But prices are much better than TW from SJU so far.

Undoubtedly you have seen a few in the air and at the airport.

The three-engine variant, the Trilander, was operated by the old Air St Barthelemy, which was one of the airlines combined to make Air Caraïbes.

I recently met someone who had spent time on St. John USVI and loved it, saying she would go back. She had never been to St. Barts and me never going to St. John so we talked of a two island adventure. Getting to STT was easy, direct from Atl.
I contacted Tradewind, knowing they served STT and asked about flights from STT to SBH. The lady told me starting in April that they would have one flight per week, on Tuesdays from STT to SBH.
That would work out perfect, a few days in St. John then a week , as usual in St. Barts, fly back to STT, then back to ATL.

Sounds like an exciting trip for you!

Tradewind is also doing a once a week direct from STT-SBH, which we took advantage of this year and are on St. John right now. Flew direct from ORD to STT and are heading to SBH next week. Great new service that a lot of locals are excited about, especially on STT where there are lots of SBH family connections. Not a cheap flight however, on either airline.

Hi, I live on St John and I go to St Barts often, so I am always checking Tradewind's flights. From what I can see online, it shows a Tuesday flight from January 20- April 14. Strange she said it was starting in April, maybe they will add more flights after the 14th, but I definitely see them starting January 20. Hope this helps!
