Boarding Passes

A recent post raised a question with me. Has anyone ever had boarding passes printed by the gate agent? I don't see any reason why not.

Well, one needs a boarding pass to clear security before the gate is reached.

Yep. I answered my own question as soon as I asked it.

We have had gate agents rebook us on another flight when one is delayed or cancelled and print us new boarding passes. So they have the capability.

Just another note on boarding passes: if you plan on using the transit desk in sxm make sure you have a printed boarding pass and not an e boarding pass from your airline app. That's what they told me at SBC desk though they got us through anyway this time.
