"As for Saint Barth, I am here to report that the charm is still here..."

I wish to also respond that recent threads concerning yet another Champagne and DJ fueled St-Jean beach spot (with no parking) and highlighting the thin air pricing strategy of the newish resto entry on the former site of the iconic and adored La Gloriette neither dampen my ardor for nor change the global nature of the essential Saint-Barth experience.

St Barths definitely remains my happy place. It is what it is…I am hooked.

On our first trip back since March 2020 we are treasuring the conversations and connections with islanders we have known for decades. It is a homecoming in every sense of the word. The views aren’t bad either.

I love the windward side of Pointe Milou. When we win the Powerball that's where we're buying. Pair of refurbished and tricked out Defenders in the garage.
It's one of the places where none of that other jazz happening on the island seems to matter. Ditto Vitet. Other locales too, I'm sure.

I will be there right next door! Make it four Defenders.

She is a special place on this Earth... we wouldn't be on this forum otherwise.

As much as we loved Lil Rock…actually really enjoyed lunch at Nao last week. Seems they kept the kitchen footprint and expanded the dining area…food very good and not out of line with pricing at other spots. They don’t seem to be trying to ape the Nikki vibe as much as Gypsea… prefer both the food and vibe.

shame that Lil Rock got bought out…but on the bright side…the owners likely got generational wealth out of it…

Were there any basic items on the menu such as burgers frites or other beach appetizers? Thanks
