A review of the Christmas New Year scene

long gone are the days when celebrities came here because it was all under the radar - maybe the pendulum will start to swing back if enough people feel like she does....

She's pretty awful and so much a part of the faux-celeb, self important look-at-me problem.

But I'm so happy that I was there for NYE ONCE, in 2001 (before it was this crazy, but even then, I knew I was done), and I never have to do it again.

When Wendy & I had The Normandie (2007 - 2017), we came to see in the “Festive Season” guests who were paparazzi hired by little known, up-&-coming “stars” and by others whose careers were fading. They were paid to get “candid” shots of their clients for distribution / sale to magazines & social media sites . . . linking them to the holidays‘ style & class of the SBH celebrity world.

I don't consider this Bethany lady a celeb. there were lots of celebs here around that time I was not here as I avoid that time of year mostly because of the driving headaches.

I see her as a "faux-celeb" as I said above. A "bravolebrity" if you will.
I blame Andy Cohen for promoting class(less) people into the public eye.

if you have a problem with St. Barth, consider the possibility that you might be the problem. Or else, it was just so much better in 2023. Or 2007. Or 1996. Or 1974. 🙄
