Météo-France Weather Warning - Wind, Heavy Rain, T-Storms

Météo-France has posted a Vigilance Yellow weather warning for St Barth and St Martin. A period of Wind, Heavy Rain, and Thunderstorms is expected, beginning at Midnight on Saturday, and with an estimated end of the event of 17:00 on Monday. Total rainfall of 40-60mm (1.6” to 2.4”) is possible in a 3-hour period. Strong wind gusts of 50-60 Km/h (roughly 30-40 mph) are possible

Situation actuelle
Une masse d'air humide et instable se dirige vers les îles du Nord en soirée et nuit. Elle interagit avec des conditions dynamiques en altitude favorisant l'occurrence de fortes pluies et d'orages touchant par moments nos îles.
Prévisions
Le ciel sera très nuageux à couvert. Les passages pluvieux vont alterner avec des périodes d'accalmies. Les plus fortes pluies devraient rester en proche Atlantique avec un risque orageux.
Un regain d'averses plus généralisé sera attendu en fin de nuit. Il pourrait engendrer de forts cumuls de précipitations de l'ordre de 40 à 60 mm en 3h.
Amélioration relative dans la soirée de lundi 30 juin.
Des rafales de vent peuvent également se produire au passage des averses les plus fortes, entre 50 et 60 km/h, voire plus.
