The weather is here, I wish you were beautiful (JB)

This is our 4th day on island, and the weather has been great. No strong Christmas winds or rain, just a pleasant gentle breeze and mostly sunny skies. The airplanes have been landing towards the hill the last few days.
Any seaweed on Saline beach had been raked and we didn't get sand blasted this year.
There is actually sand on St Jean beach this year near La Plage, and no seaweed there. The airport fence is atrocious, and we actually saw a couple climb over the fence and walk there anyway.
We also saw a guy stand-up paddle boarding with a live chicken. (no kidding, we have a picture).

Also show us the latest picture of St. Jean beach as your comment confuses us. if there is no sand on St. Jean except near La Plage then what is there- just water?

Someone beat me to the posting. That is a lot closer picture than I have, but that is definitely the guy.
About St. Jean beach, last year when we came about the same time of year, there was no sand in front of La Plage, so yes, it was just water out there. They had even sand bagged the restaurant. There was sand there this year though.
(There is also Diet Coke, Carib, Domaine Ott, and Vueve Cliquot, this year, unlike last).
