Rich meets with Ellen and Rosemond's cousin (once removed)

Ran into Elena at an ACR meeting in Reston, VA this week. We first met her and her sister at a similar meeting in Hawaii about a year and a half ago. She wanted to say "Hi".

You mean my cousin Elena Parkin... what a small world... she must have been with her sister rachel in Hawaii... how on earth did you figure out we were related to each other?

It really was out of the blue. We happened to be seated at a table with them at a social event and the subject of vacations came up. We mentioned St. Barth and they mentioned relatives. It went from there. I was going to post a picture then but it didn't turn out. Didn't think of it until I ran into Elena againyesterday. Small world indeed.

Glad you met them, they are lovely—and very smart—young ladies! Rachel, Elena's sister, is a PhD in Economics from Harvard...
