We recently returned from our fifth stay at La Case du Roy and we're already looking forward to our next visit.
The location is extremely convenient. As Libby recently noted, although the villa is listed in Anse des Cayes, it's actually located near the Europecar lot and the Tendances furniture store, just off the roundabout above the airport. It's less than a five minute drive from the airport, and nearly as close to Gustavia.
Owner Jocelyne Aubin is a delight. She is very responsive to all communication, from initial inquiry to booking and arrival confirmation, and she checks in during your visit to make sure you are not in need of anything. She takes great pride in her villa, and it shows. The villa is always immaculate on arrival, and she provides frequent housekeeping. The villa is also well supplied - she has thought of everything one could possibly need on vacation. And for those traveling with small children, Jocelyne provides a portable crib, high chair, and tub, as well as smallish towels for bathing and the beach.
After so many visits, we truly feel like it is our home away from home. In addition, Ava felt comfortable right away. At 2.5 years of age, this was her third visit. She especially enjoyed walking through the front and back yards, watching the lizards and birds. Jocelyne's husband, Rigobert, maintains the gardens and does an excellent job.
All in all, we had a wonderful time at La Case du Roy. From frequent meals on the front porch or by the grill in the back yard, to relaxing in the hot tub and counting the stars, we can't wait to return.
