Firefly Bistro

Finally got to dine at my daughters restaurant Firefly Bistro in Manasquan NJ.....I am in Jersey to induct my cousin into our high school Hall of Fame tomorrow night so I took him here for dinner tonight in advance of that

sorry but the phone took lousy pictures in the low light...

but we weren't allowed to order off the menu..instead they just kept coming out with tapas samples for us.....

so we got

*assorted cheese and fruit platter
*goat cheese salad
* pan seared asian spiced scallops
*pan seared local yellowfin tuna over Mediterrean Cous Cous
* Maryland style crab cake
*home made Porcini mushroom ravioli with a veal shank
*grilled Lamb Chop and truffled, garlic mashed potato
*Pecan pie and a chocolate tower cake in phylo

place was packed....turning away walk ups at the door...not a table available..very impressive for a Friday off season in a shore town

everything was over the top good and she knows if it wasn't...that's what I would tell her....she gets no free pass from me especially with the sea food.....but they nailed it...totally...

I'll try an clean up some other pictures and post them soon..but here is a shot of the tuna and the restaurant
