I recognized that rock!

I was in an art gallery in Naples, FL yesterday (down here helping out my mother, NOT on vacation!! ;-) and I saw a familiar looking rock and I asked the artist if that was from an actual place or if it was his own creation. He said it's from St. Barthelemy. And I said Saline Beach. And he said Ile Coco.

Anyhow, he's a native of St. Martin and has a gallery down there too. His name is Sir Roland Richardson.

He is, as Kevin says, a well-known artist, and has done many many paintings of the flamboyants trees in full bloom...

And a huge beauty used to hang in the Juianna Airport arrival hall. A flamboyant in bloom..magnificent.
