St Barts restaurant scene - what’s new?

After visiting the island most years for a decade I’ve had a few years of not visiting for various reasons!

As a total foodie, I’m excited to try some of the new places, and I hate to rely on Tripadvisor.

Which of these should be on my must visit list?

Kinaguwa
Orega
Le Sereno Al Mare
Zion
Gypsea Beach
Fouquet’s
La Cabane

Am I missing any new exciting openings?

Orega and the new Fouquet's, along with Bonito, are our favorites. We liked Zion a lot, but the menu is limited. Le Tamarin is consistently very good and wonderful setting.

Two more new restaurants are La Petite Plage, located where Route de Boucaniers used to be, and Arawak Café, in the former Le Carré location. La Petite Plage has a sister restaurant of the same name in St Tropez. Arawak Café is reported to have the same ownership as Bagatelle. Both restaurants are very new, and I haven’t seen a mention of anyone dining at either.
 
I also highly recommend Zion. The menu is a bit limited, but at the same time it manages to provide "something for everyone."

Les Bananiers is not new nor as posh as some of the other restaurants on the island, but it does have some of the best food, in my opinion.
 
Tiffany I agree...and not just great pizza. Bananiers has a wonderful chef and a welcoming staff. I would also add Black Ginger to your targeted eateries. And Fish Corner gets raves.
 
Agree with Ellen, Black Ginger is now on our rotation after two fabulous meals last February. Fish Corner is top 3 for me on the island, the food is delicious - we go for lunch and enjoy some shopping after.
I would also recommend shifting Santa Fe to lunch. Spend the am on Gouverneur and make a reservation for a 1:30p lunch.
 
I would also add lunch at The Christopher, especially if you like a good burger. We prefer Santa Fe as a lunch spot as well, you miss out on the view at night.
 
Santa Fe at night you see the twinkling lights on at the villas as well as across to the lights on Eustatia and barges lined up at the refinery. A view of the moon and stars in the night sky is beautiful as seen from up in Lurin with little ambient light to interfere. A totally different view. Also, some very nice dinner time breezes during warm months.

Depending on your schedule, a good choice for dinner or lunch. We do both.
 
Ditto Tiffany and AmyB - we LOVE Les Bananiers. It has become our official "first night dinner" and never disappoints!
