Looking for dining suggestions for Nov trip

Starting to think about dining options also...

"Tamarin is a hard NO."

Last time on the island, we had a nice experience there. Just curious if things have changed.

Thanks!

I don’t think things have changed but that it’s just always a place that some like and by which some are turned off. 🤷‍♂️

Our old haunts from 4 decades ago included Le Flamboyant (best escargot ever and run by Albert Balayn before Le Gloriette) le Marine and Vincent Adam. Le Flamboyant was located in Albert's house. He also had the Flamboyant tennis Club down at street level.
We looked forward to the opening of SoBarth in NYC. It was supposed to be in Soho, hence the name but something went haywire and they landed in Midtown. We liked it but somehow it was not the same in NYC.
Over the years some restaurants from St Barts tried a run in New York City and the Hamptons but they were short lived.
I believe Maya's took a shot in the Hamptons and I hope somebody on the Forum remembers one more restaurant that had a pretty good run in the Hamptons. Possibly run by Pino Loungo so probably Italian. Ahh the memory gets cloudy sometimes. Can anybody save me here?

Yes, it was Sapore de Mare. That's a location that has been so many restaurants.

Want a REAL piece of Hamptons - St Barth trivia, told to me by the authority himself?

There used to be a place in Westhampton that had a really big bar scene back in the 80s, called the Dune Deck. There was a cocktail affectionally called a Screaming O, short for Screaming Orgasm.

I only discovered a few years ago that the French bartender who created the Screaming O was none other than the very talented and handsome Jean Marc!
