On the road again to SBH

Having grown weary of the 4:30 AM rising to begin the journey from JAX that gets me to our favorite island in one day, I tried something new — a late afternoon flight out of JAX on Wednesday, meaning that I had most of the day at home . . . arrival at MIA & nearby, quite contemporary & tastefully-styled hotel (“The Pullman”) in time for dinner . . . not-too-early departure to SJU after hotel breakfast . . . short (about an hour), pleasant-layover at Tradewind lounge . . . departing to SBH

. . . with arrival about 2:20 PM.

At Villa CEC after brief grocery shopping (quite surprisingly, the “Mini U“ at L’Orient is totally gutted — obviously undergoing a vast renovation). Lots of afternoon time to unpack, unwind, & nap before dinner at L’Esprit (more about that later).

So nice to be “home!”
