Been very windy this week, but much less today (Thursday). Just walked the beach and quite a bit of sargassum has started accumulating on West end. CB end clear.

Hi PeterLynn are you still on the island? plan to come over in a week or so and just curious about current sargassum issues on Flamands, specifically around Baie des Anges part of the beach. How efficient has cleanup measures been, I know closer to CB less of an issue due to position and efficient cleanups....in any case much appreciate any feedback. Thx

Next to last day. Only one day last week when the sargassum invasion happened. None since. Nobody has come to clean it up, but it's pretty well dried up.

We’ve been here a while and are staying at Baie des Anges right now. Only one day has the seaweed been a problem. There is some dried up the beach right now, but it’s not much of a bother. There was a stretch of maybe a month where there was almost none. No cleaning up on Flamands by the Collectivite yet. We did see them cleaning gouverneur about two or three weeks ago, and grand cul de sac in April. But Flamands has generally had very little.

Thank you. Thinking of returning for our 4th year in a row but am apprehensive given the reports of seaweed. Sounding like it's not a major problem in St Barts. Is that a reasonable assumption?

saline and a few others have had seaweed. st. jean cleans up their seaweed fast when it comes in mainly done by the restaurants. its nature, and its a small island, you have plenty of time to choose a beach. shell beach is clear most of the time and an easy walk.
