Rosemary, when you make home port for more than a brief visit I'll wish for mustard. Until then, I wish you "les étoile filante" - my best effort at translating Shooting Stars to French..
Thank you, Kevin, on both counts. Tonight's dinner? Bonito, corn, tomatoes, and white bean salad. Honest and true, did not see a single shooting star last night. Overcast, though lovely, tonight.
love love love bonito..especially as sushi...don't get it on this side..water is too cold....
just got in from offshore......no shooting stars tonight here either...too cloudy..although a very calm warm night on the water
Dinner tonight was Striped Bass (picked up in an interstate highway drive-by-drop-off - thanks Mike) made with Mike's recipe (butter, lime juice, cilantro, baste the s**t out if it, don't overcook it). Corn and grilled peaches from the farm stand on the side. Dessert was a shortcake made with macerated farm stand raspberries. I'm ready for a little rhum vanille and a nap.
leftover pasta bolognese ....had a trip tonight so couldnt really cook....but there was a caught today sole and some scallops in the ticket booth cooler for me when I got to work so that will be tomorrow nights meal
one day old is not old....LOL...most fish sit in a box of ice in the fishmonger cold storage building for a day or three before they even get to the store!...no thanks..I'll leave that for the "foodies"
enjoy the sword...they are begining their northerly migration now and wont be in your area for long...on their way up the Gulfstream to the Grand Banks and Flemish Cap
