Sunset arrival

Standing on the deck this evening watching the sun slowly dropping towards the hills behind the airport I noticed a very late arrival

Right above the notch in the hill. It was nearly 6. I thought that can’t be a plane so late.

Yup it was. Someone hurrying their way here.

Watched it land, turn around then taxi off to the right. So some lucky soul who can fly here on the way home.

On the longest day of the year, June 21, final touchdown can be as late as 7:03pm (we landed at that time once after a delay from SJU to SBH on Tradewind and an unexpected stop in SXM for gas)... so as we are still in the long days of summer, the final plane can arrive just before sunset which this week is about 6.51pm...
