Sadly, only 10-12 of the restaurants on that list still exist, not counting the hotel restaurants which have changed concepts or menus multiple times.

What a spot...I sure do miss George's Lafayette Club. And Andy's Hideaway and Maya's. Now this year I add David's Santa Fe to this list.

Wonderful memories of Wall House, Le Sapotillier, Pipiri, Le Pelican…the greatest strawberry mouse in the world, New Born with the huge tank, Maya’s one of our favorite family go to places, La Marine the muscles and the view, Marigot Bay Club the lobster, Filao where we stayed for years. My heart is still with them. Where we met Jackie, Rick and Bart, Do Brazil when it was an amazing experience, L’Ananas where we dined on our honeymoon and of course Au Port with amazing food best lamb medallions, and a great view before they built the post office. Le Flamboyant was probably closed by this time. Andy thanks for posting my friend that I enjoy the same birthday with

Which of those gone, if one could remember, should be reincarnated. On a personal level, related to experience enjoyed, were Le Gaiac, Tres Forces and Born Again as well as the one in Lorient.?

Paradisio, we would walk in around 6, no reservations, be seated and a minute or two later the matire de would bring our 8-12 year old son an orange soda, we would order cocktails, when our cocktails were served, our son was brought a small plate of buttered noodles, upon ordering and receiving our diner, our son was brought a small dish of ice cream.
We ate there dozens of times and the service was perfect when traveling with a young hungry child.
I hope that the owner is doing well, we miss his restaurant and the wonderful service. But we do have the memomeries!

Charming photos of your child! Happy memories, for sure! Re: your fond recollections of Paradisio, I believe that you're recalling its two owners, Bernard Javelle & Alain Devaux. Bernard became a private chef on the island (now retired), and Alain was a champagne distributor (not sure if he still is working or has retired). They were gracious hosts, as you describe, and excellent chefs. I'm in frequent contact with Bernard and will tell him of your lovely memories.
