Musical selections welcome. What goes well with Ack-Ack?

First morning back on the island. Ahhh… Lovely breakfast goodies, nice breeze and our gorgeous view. What more could one ask for?

Well, the neighbors are building (which is their right, of course.) And the ack-ack started promptly at 8 AM (hopefully no sooner…) Which brings me to my question. Since making noise at the villa during the day seems NOT to be an issue on this trip... I am wondering what musical selections fellow forum members might come up with to accompany the Ack-Ack’s relentless beats? All genres welcome.

The cooing doves are un-deterred by the noise, which is essential. Life is good. Thanks in advance to all. -Peter

Open with THE BEAT GOES ON and then your own favorite play list...loud! Our neighborhood crew listens to salsa quite a bit.Lunch is 12 to 2 and usually all is quiet then for you to enjoy your pool/hot tub if you have them.

I went down the rabbit hole last night, found a free metronome app. And found that the ackack runs about ~220 beats /minute (bpm). Then I poked around for suitable songs, playlists. This one worked for last night.

Spotify Swing Jazz (220 bpm)

As luck would have it, the villa pool man came by last evening. We chatted while he worked. He mentioned the ack-ack, and said “don’t worry, the noise will be over tonight…” Turns out he works construction and that is his job site! Small world—everyone here works hard and multitasks.

Sure enough at 8am this AM—SILENCE! Phew. Cooing doves, crowing roosters and lots of sugar birds! Bliss. All is well.

By the way, we had a magical full moon rise over Morne Vitet last night. Ahhh…

LOL! When I was little (and now, too, if I’m being honest) I used to derive SO much satisfaction out of having the beat from a song on the car radio match perfectly with the “click click” of the turn signal. It didn’t happen often but, when it did, all the stars were aligned!
