Lunch and Beach Chair access...when and where?

I freeze the second bottle to drink..by the time I ve killed the first bottle..the second one is just defrosting and still ice cold...perfect

But back to the original question...when we were there the last week in May the beach chairs at Eden Rock were 30E for the day. We called ahead that morning and got out there around 10:00, stayed until nearly 6:00. I can't really handle the sun on the deserted beaches and those flimsy beach umbrellas are worse than useless so it was money well spent for me. We didn't have lunch there because we had eaten at Sand Bar earlier in the week. We just walked over to Kiki e Mo for sandwiches when we got hungry. We had planned to have lunch and use the beach chairs at Guanahani (it's where we stayed for our honeymoon) but I was disappointed with the water. Tons of seaweed. I'm sure it's a sign of a healthy ecosystem but I don't like stepping on it. Gives me the willies.

We stayed at ER in early March and made a few Kiki-é Mo runs ourselves. And we are dedicated umbrella people too!

We ended up at Sand Bar for lunch yesterday after a morning at Gouvener (planned on Santa Fe but it was closed on a Tuesday for some reason). I asked the server about the chairs and she confirmed it was 30E for the day. Doubt we will do it this trip but at that price I think for a full day that is hard to beat. I hate fighting the cheap umbrellas as well so to spend one day out of 10 or so on the island with larger comfy chairs, umbrellas, and the service I think 30E is pretty hard to beat.

I like your logic. Afterall, it is a vacation

I should also mention that when it came time to settle up they actually didn't charge us for the chairs, just the drinks. Being the upright and honest citizen that I am, I fessed up and paid for the chairs. But who knows? Maybe you can score them for free!

For years they had the same gals running the place and we always had a chair when we stayed at a villa. Tips at the end of the day really helped in that case!

.....and a ride when her car broke down! I think we met her our first trip, but I can't remember her name. Very sweet, and grateful when we gave her a ride home. We were treated very well at the beach at ER that trip
