. . . does any visitor ever forget seeing Saline Beach for the first time. Revisiting there yesterday — still memorable.

Amazing how much time and $$ spent to just have that view..it is what keeps you going back, even in your thoughts, no matter what else is going on in your life🥰! Few places have that effect and it lasts a lifetime 🏝️🥇

I stubbed my toe on the trail's incline (first photo) rocks so many times I forgot.
Do you remember the nasty bee's nest on the left side of the downward trial (second photo) to the beach?

Omg, those rocks are killer🙄..especially when you are dragging chairs, umbrella, pique-nique..but when you take those last few steps and the view breaks through, you know why you came about 4,000 miles! The last 20 yards were more difficult than the first thousand😂

No, we'll never forget seeing Saline for the first time. It was in 1980 and Pierre, the bartender at the old St. Barths Beach hotel told me that Saline was beautiful and nudist. We went and were blown away. We went over the rocks to the left (facing the sea) and made that little piece of the beach our own. Now too old to climb over the rocks and too lazy to swim, but I look over there wistfully when we visit.
