Easter

Hi all. I'm new here! Coming for my third visit, arriving Easter day (April 5). Anybody know if the Monoprix will be open?

I wouldn’t bet on either Monoprix being open on Easter Sunday, but keep an eye on Le News. You’ll likely have better luck with one of the U’s, perhaps the mini-U in the Oasis center in Lorient.

Hi All,
Wondering if any of you have ever attended Easter Sunday services (Catholic or Anglican)? I am hoping to go to a Catholic Mass, but open to Anglican service as well. Mostly wondering how early to arrive, best place to go so we can park, and any other information you can share. I did read the Le News St. Barths, so I do know the times/locations already. Thanks in advance for any insight you can share.

The Anglican service on Easter Sunday in Gustavia is just outstanding. I believe Rev'd Charlie is still presiding. I can still hear the music....I believe the choir concludes the service with an unbelievable rendition of "Oh Happy Days". I believe it starts at 9:30, and I would plan on arriving around 9:00 or shortly afterwards. Parking is not a problem. Don't be in a hurry to leave as the champagne reception in the courtyard after the service is wonderful. Happy Easter.

I would not think of missing a Sunday Service and Father Charlie is a treasure. The warmth of the congregation is best shown by the sign of peace, which takes at least 5 minutes.

Are Anglican masses conducted in French or English ? Just curious
Yes as Diana and Dennis have noted - in English - there is a resident vicar who is from England - Father Charlie - and a series of rotating guest vicars from the US, England, etc... lots of info here https://www.stbartholomewsanglicanchurch.com/

there is even and English-language best seller book club that meets online once a month !
