Days 6-7 : A quick knock down with a gradual recovery

After losing an overnight battle with some apparently bad serrano ham, things slowed slightly going in to day 6.

Thursday saw an attempt to visit Nikki Beach for lunch, but shortly after arrival it was clear food would not be in my plans for the afternoon. I enjoyed the view, with some ice cold water while my wife enjoyed the food.

Back to the villa for some rest, and a few hours later my appetite was starting to return. Uncertain where and what to eat, we decided to drive in to Gustavia to walk around and check out some options. Eventually we decided on a cheeseburger and fries from Le Select. I must say, it was a pretty good burger. Very basic, but exactly what I was needing.

Friday was another villa day, except for a run to Le Petite Colombe for some croissants amongst other items.

We had Zion reservations for Friday night, and I wasn't going to miss this dinner. Feeling about 90%, I went for it.

I Started with the Squid and my wife had the Peas with smoked tuna

For the main, I had the grilled tuna and she the mahi-mahi ( no picture this time)

Dessert was cilantro sorbet and a new rhubarb dessert not on the menu

As you know, I love dining at Zion . . . and lovely to have encountered you there 2x since your arrival! Among Zion dishes that I particularly enjoy is the Squid with Peas that you’ve pictured above — so tasty! I’m glad that your health recovered to get more of SBH fine dining on your program! Stay well.

Health is so important and vacation sick days are big torture until you are up and running again. That is good newd.

Your pictures are crisp and mouth watering!

That being said, go and eat something.

It was great to run in to you as well.

The squid is my favorite entre on the menu, I believe in the 7 times we have dined there, I have had it at least 5 of those.

Especially here. Not feeling up to eating, for even a few hours, is difficult. So many wonderful options, so little time.
