Beautiful Day at Colombier

Tired of seeing all of those icky Sargassum pics so I thought I would post about our trip to Colombier yesterday. We didn't leave as early as we would have liked as we were not sure what we wanted to do. Decided that yesterday was our last chance to do the hike and it also seemed likely that the beach would be in good condition. The morning was sunny but as we started driving the sky grew dark and we were worried it might rain. However, the clouds provided nice cover for the walk.

Love that first sight of the beach in the distance.

Shortly after we arrived so did the sun. Turned out to be a great day for snorkeling and beach walks.

The walk back was bright and sunny.

It was maybe the busiest we ever saw it. There was at least one catamaran snorkel trip but most of the others walked in like we did. Hopefully it stays pristine.

Colombier is such a beautiful beach. Thankfully the walk(s) keep the traffic down somewhat.

I agree with Dennis. It has been a few years since we have taken the walk. However, on our honeymoon we took a catamaran to Colombier with a couple we had never met before. Lovely day. Lovely couple. When we arrived at Colombier I jumped into the water and swam to the beach. It was exhilarating to experience this kind of freedom. One of the reasons we fell in love with St. Barth.

Any activity at Chez Rockefeller?

Nothing we could see. The “pier” continues to degrade and there’s now a gate at the entrance to the road but other than that, it looks the same from a distance.
