Baby Equipment Rental

Hi Everyone,

My husband and I are finally traveling to St. Bart's again but this time with our babies :) We are planning on renting baby equipment for our villa (cribs, high chair, etc.) Does anyone have a recommendation for a reasonably priced rental company?

Also if anyone has any recommendations for must-do's with the babies or must-brings, feel free to share. We would love to get some advice as it will be our first trip with the babies.

Thanks so much!

if you rented thru an agency -Wimco. Premium etc. they can arrange and answer any of your questions ( we did it before and had no problems)

Thank you for responding. We are renting directly from an owner so unfortunately we do not have access to agency services. Hoping maybe there is a private baby equipment rental company on the island.

I'm not aware of a baby equipment rental company, but if it's available then I know who can find it for you. Reach out to Premium IV, which is an on-island Concierge Service. You can find their website at www.premiumiv.com If anyone can help you then they can.

I don't know of a baby equipment rental place, but I would contact Vincent at PremiumIV [vincent@premiumiv.com]. He can usually take care of any requests like that. You might also check with the villa owners to see if they can help.

WE rent from an owner and have contacted them about the same issue. They have offered to supply all of our needs- baby carriage, car seat etc. at no extra cost, so you might ask them. Apparently they have these things in one of their locked closets in the Villa. If you are staying at a Hotel, I would ask them the same question as this would not be their first time for guests with young children or infants.

Smoggie,

Thank you for sharing this information. My wife and I have had our plans to return to the island turned upside down with the arrival of our first child a few months ago. The funds for our next trip are already in the bank with no place to go. Hopefully with this information we will be able to make the trip a little sooner.

Thanks again Smoggie for the fantastic advice and sharing your memories! It really helps to know that these trips can be done with babies and wonderful memories can be created.

Also wanted to let everyone know that Vincent from Premium came through and connected me with Marion from St. Barth Baby Items.

The website doesn't list them yet, but they rent real cribs in addition to the portable ones which is key for us as we want the least disruptive sleeping arrangement for the babies.

Thank you to everyone for all your input!

Gooner, thanks again for sharing your tips and experiences with your twins! It's refreshing to know that traveling with babies can be fun and that wonderful memories can be created.

I did contact Vincent at Premium IV and he connected me with Marion at St. Barth Baby Items.

Marion is very nice (and actually has twins too!) and provided me with their updated catalogue. In addition to portable cribs, they offer real cribs which we prefer since we want to keep the sleep setting as consistent with home as possible.

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions and helping us find Marion.

Looking forward to creating some beautiful family memories on this special island!

My 24 month old will be making his 5th trip to the island next week and all without any issues. We usually bring our own portable pack-n-play crib and a car seat and you can actually purchase anything you want as cheap as an actual week long rental in Gustavia at the home-target type store (cannot recall name) just past the sand piles on the way into town on the left. Have fun.

There is a special company on the island for baby item rental: http://www.sbhbabyitems.com/

Thank you! St. Barth Baby Items is the company that Vincent from Premium IV recommended as well. He put me in touch with Marion (who has twins himself) and we set up the rental. FYI- in addition to pack n play cribs, they rent real cribs which we were very happy about. We want to replicate the babies' current sleep setup as much as possible so they transition easily.

Thank you to everyone for you rinput and Gooner for sharing your wonderful experiences and advice.

Can't wait to create some special family memories on this beautiful island!
