Fifty-five years after “To Kill a Mockingbird” published, Harper Lee’s highly anticipated second novel, “Go Set a Watchman,” is coming to bookstores July 14.
On July 10, The Wall Street Journal will publish the first chapter of the book. An audio sample of the chapter, narrated by Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon, will also be available.
WSJ reporters and editors will be leading a rolling discussion of the first chapter, and later the book, in the WSJ Book Club Facebook group. The WSJ Book Club is led by well-known authors who guide readers through their favorite books and describe the ways those stories have influenced their own writing. Past guest hosts have included Neil Gaiman, Gillian Flynn and Erik Larson. You can sign up for the book club here.
