Encourgaing news on vaccinations

While not an offical tally, island sources tell me the vaccinations stand at 45% and they feel they have a good shot at 50% by the middle of May. Hopefully we will get offical confirmation soon.

yes I said either yesterday or the day before that it was at 44%. Bruno should make an announcement soon.
 
Wow 45%??? that's amazing. From what I read on here I thought that no one on the island wanted to be vaccinated. I know it's a small island but to get that high that quickly is pretty impressive IMO

Again, snarky and unpleasant. You are all so ready to find conflict in every post that you see nothing else. There is no veiled accusation in my comment. There were a lot of comments on here (and many by you) about how so many residents didn't want to get vaccinated. Heck it's been a topic for a month. I for one am ecstatic and surprised that the number vaccinated is that high and assumed everyone would be. Even people who aren't vaccinated should be thrilled if it helps the island open.

The pandemic and totally different views on what it is and how dangerous it is. Lots of posters joined to get some straight answers and then become fedup with the drivel. As a moderator I've never had to move as many posts as in the past year. If it isn't about the island, it shouldn't be in this Forum. I'm moving this whole mess to EE now.
 
Actually, forum used to be much more acrimonious than it is now. Generally.
Some hot button issues have inflamed things recently.
This will pass, and we’ll be back to arguing over wearing shorts to dinner and other burning issues.
