Coronavirus information

COVID-19 situation update - Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy - Week of Monday May 10 to 16, 2021.

Saint-Martin :
For the week of May 10 to 16, 2021 (week 19, data stopped on May 16), there are 57 new cases in the territory of Saint-Martin (source SI-DEP ARS, people tested in Saint-Martin), a stable figure but still high compared to week 18 (55 new cases). A total of 59 positives were recorded over the same week by Santé Publique France (SPF). Taking into account the consolidated data from previous weeks, this brings to 1,915 the number of cumulative cases of coronavirus confirmed in the territory.

It should be noted that since 05/17/2021 (current week 20), 33 new cases of COVID have already been recorded out of 576 analyzes carried out.

The low number of screening RT-PCRs (variant search) entered in SI-DEP does not allow Public Health France to show the real rate of variants. However, monitoring the ARS allows us to say that we are 100% UK-type variants.

Saint-Barthélemy:
For the week of May 10 to 16, 2021 (week 19, data stopped on May 16), there are 6 new cases (source SI-DEP ARS, people tested in Saint-Barthélemy), against 13 in week 18. 6 new positive cases are also recorded by Public Health France (SPF). This brings the number of cumulative confirmed coronavirus cases to 1,005.

Since 05/17/2021 (current week 20), 1 new case of COVID has been recorded out of 110 analyzes carried out.

The low number of screening RT-PCRs (variant search) entered in SI-DEP does not allow Public Health France to show the real rate of variants. However, tracking the ARS allows us to say that we are 100% UK-type variants this week again.

Hospitalized and deceased:
The CH Louis-Constant Fleming and the CH de Bruyn remain very committed to the management of the crisis. As of May 19, 3 confirmed Covid patients were hospitalized in the medical department of the CH LCF, it should be noted that during the past week up to 5 patients were hospitalized. No confirmed Covid patient is hospitalized in the medical department of CG de Bruyn.

In week 19, we mourn the death of a 71-year-old COVID-positive patient in the medical department at LCF Hospital.

No medical evacuation of patients positive for COVID was carried out, to Guadeloupe, during week 19.

Number of tests:
In Saint-Martin:

1,600 additional tests were carried out in week 19 (PCR and antigens), for a total of 33,056 tests recorded1.

Current point:
• The drive installed in Marigot (behind the Mac Donald) is open Monday to Friday, 7 am to 12 pm, it tests both contact cases and travelers. Its capacity for collecting PCR tests for Saint-Martin is 150 per day from Monday to Thursday and 94 tests on Friday.

• The BPA Laboratory carries out PCR tests by appointment at its Hope Estate drive, it tests in priority contact cases, people needing to be hospitalized. On Saturdays, the Bio Pôle Antilles (BPA) laboratory will be accessible for PCR samples (around 60) via the drive, by appointment only.

• People wishing to access an antigen test are invited to contact pharmacies (Sun, Soualiga, Concordia, Bellevue, Caribbean) which each have their own test schedules.

Regarding Monday, May 24, the PCR drive in Marigot will be open at the usual times. However, and exceptionally, antigenic tests will be accepted on Tuesday, May 25, for all travelers departing from Saint-Martin (from Grand Case and Juliana).

The Institut Pasteur de Guadeloupe, in charge of processing samples taken from the Marigot drive, will be closed on Thursday, May 27; the Marigot drive will therefore also be (as a reminder, the results are accessible between 36 and 48 hours, the PCR test is valid for 3 days).

In Saint-Barthélemy:

634 additional tests were carried out (PCR and antigens) in week 19, for a total of 29,714 tests recorded2.

Current point:
The drive installed in Saint Jean receives, without appointment, from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for PCR tests and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for antigenic tests, on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for antigens and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. PCRs. Its PCR testing capacity is 150 samples per day.

Monitoring of indicators:
The ARS vigilantly monitors the indicators put in place for the monitoring of deconfinement: -The incidence rate which measures the number of people positive for Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants over a period of one week. Two thresholds are set, a vigilance threshold of 10/100 000 inhabitants and an alert threshold of 50/100 000 inhabitants. A high incidence rate reflects the development of clusters or active viral circulation. -The positivity rate which measures the number of people positive for Covid-19 / the number of tests carried out over a week. Two thresholds are set, a vigilance threshold of 5% and an alert threshold of 10%.

In Saint-Martin, Epidemiological indicators are stable but remain at a high level again this week. However, it should be noted that screening is on the rise, which shows that the virus is still present in the country and is actively circulating.
• The weekly incidence rate, according to Si-DEP data, is again this week on the increase and remains (for 5 weeks) above the alert threshold. It stands (for all the cases in Saint-Martin tested on the territory or residents tested outside the territory) at 159.5 / 100,000 inhabitants in week 19, against 153.9 / 100,000 in week 18.
• The weekly positivity rate, still according to the SI-DEP data is 3.6%, it is stable compared to last week (vs 4% in W18) and is above the vigilance threshold *. The indicators are stable but still high this week. All of this data should alert us and encourage us not to lower our vigilance and to continue the efforts made on a daily basis by always respecting barrier gestures, in particular physical distancing. It is equally important to understand the value of getting vaccinated in order to prevent the spread of the disease in its most severe forms.

As of May 19, 1 cluster is under investigation, in a professional environment.

In Saint-Barthélemy,
• The incidence rate is dropping this week. It stands at 61.3 / 100,000 inhabitants, according to SI-DEP data, versus 132.7 / 100,000 in week 18.
• The positivity rate, down slightly this week, is 0.9%, it remains below the vigilance threshold according to the SI-DEP data (vs. 1.7% in week 18).

No new cluster has been registered for 6 consecutive weeks.

Monitoring of indicators

In Saint-Martin,
Epidemiological indicators are sharply increasing this week. It should be noted that the use of screening is on the rise, which shows that the virus remains very present in the territory and is actively circulating.

The weekly incidence rate, according to Si-DEP data, is sharply this week and has been (for 6 weeks) above the alert threshold. It stands (for all the cases in Saint-Martin tested on the territory or residents tested outside the territory) at 341.3 / 100,000 inhabitants in week 20, against 159.5 / 100,000 in week 19.

The weekly positivity rate, still according to the SI-DEP data is 6.4%, it is clearly higher than last week (vs 3.6% in W19) and is higher than the vigilance threshold *.

The indicators are in clear increase this week again. The sharp upsurge in the number of cases as well as the increase in the number of hospitalizations should alert us and encourage us not to lower our vigilance and to continue the efforts made daily by always respecting barrier gestures, in particular physical distancing. Equally important is understanding the value of getting vaccinated in order to prevent the spread of the disease in its most severe forms.

As of May 26, no cluster has been registered. All clusters are closed.

In Saint-Barthélemy,
The incidence rate is down again this week. It stands at 40.8 / 100,000 inhabitants, according to SI-DEP data, versus 61.3 / 100,000 in week 19.

The positivity rate, down slightly this week too, is 0.5%, it remains below the vigilance threshold according to the SI-DEP data (vs 0.9% in week 19).

No new cluster has been registered for 7 consecutive weeks.

Recommendations
It is important to understand that we form a chain of protection and that the relaxation of some favors the diffusion with heavy consequences for the most fragile.
Early detection of positive cases is a guarantee of success in rapidly breaking the chains of transmission of the disease, as is compliance with barrier gestures and isolation measures. The virus is transmitted very often in the private sphere (family events, friendships) or the professional sphere.
The mutating virus, present in the territory, is known for its faster spread. It is therefore even more important to pay extra attention in the application of barrier gestures by standing at 2 meters instead of 1 meter, by respecting the isolation instructions extended to 10 days for the English variant and by wearing masks considered to be more effective because they meet a high filtration standard, namely surgical or general public masks made of fabric manufactured according to the AFNOR SPEC S76-001 category 1 standard.

Regarding the variants, the end of the isolation must be accompanied by the rigorous wearing of a surgical mask or general public filtration greater than 90% and strict compliance with barrier measures and physical distancing during the 7 days following the lifting of the isolation, by avoiding people at risk of severe Covid-19 and by promoting, as far as possible, teleworking. Contact cases must be tested immediately, respect a 7-day isolation after which they repeat a PCR test, the isolation is only lifted upon receipt of the negative result.

Vaccination
Saint-Martin :
Vaccination continues in Saint-Martin and now concerns people of all ages, with the opening since May 4 of a vaccinodrome in Galisbay (in front of the parking lot, on the carnival site). It is carried by the Red Cross and uses the Pfizer bioNtech vaccine. Anyone over the age of 18, with proof of residence in Saint-Martin (electricity, water, telephone bill, etc.) or a Vitale card is invited to come, when they wish (no appointment). you), to benefit from a vaccination (the operation takes about 20 minutes, between the administrative procedures, the injection and the monitoring). The vaccinodrome is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Saturday inclusive. It will be open on May 28 in the morning, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

It should be noted that the callbacks for operations carried out on Saturday April 17 at Concordia and April 24 in Quartier d´Orléans will be made on May 29 at the vaccinodrome site in Galisbay. Indeed, a line dedicated to MODERNA will be in place, ONLY that day.

The vaccination center located at the Louis Constant Fleming hospital continues to operate alongside the vaccinodrome under the same procedures: online appointment booking (santé.fr) or call to the RIPOSTE unit.

Vaccination, via the Astra Zeneca vacc

As of May 26, 5,655 people have received their first injection and 2,714 people have received their second injection. Vaccination having started on January 13.

Saint-Barth:
Vaccination is, for the moment, suspended from the CMS.
The vaccinodrome, meanwhile, reopened from May 25 until June 4 with the PFIZER vaccine.

As of May 26, 4,612 people have received their first injection and 1,423 people have received their second injection.

The Astra Zeneca vaccine is also available for people over 55, in town, on Saint-Barthélemy.

----------
1 - Takes into account the SIDEP data update in week 19.
2 - * point of vigilance: the size of the population in Saint-Martin is 35,750 inhabitants. From 4 positive cases, the vigilance threshold for the incidence rate of 10/100 000 inhabitants is exceeded. The interpretation of the incidence rates must be combined with the interpretation of the positivity rate and the identification of the chain of secondary transmission or of grouped cases at risk of community spread (not controlled).

The small number of screening RT-PCRs (variant search) entered in SI-DEP does not allow Public Health France to show the real rate of variants. However, tracking the ARS allows us to say that we are 100% UK-type (newly named Alpha) variants this week again.

Hospitalized and deceased

The CH Louis-Constant Fleming and the CH de Bruyn remain very committed to the management of the crisis. On June 2, 12 confirmed Covid patients were hospitalized in the medical department of the CH LCF, one of whom was on respiratory assistance. No confirmed Covid patient is hospitalized in the medical department of CG de Bruyn.

In week 21, we deplore the death of a COVID positive patient in the medical department of the LCF hospital as well as the death of a COVID positive patient hospitalized in intensive care in Guadeloupe. We also deplore the death of an 82-year-old patient on Tuesday, June 1, bringing the number of deaths of residents of Saint-Martin to 18 since the start of the crisis.

Its capacity for collecting PCR tests for Saint-Martin is 150 per day from Monday to Thursday and 94 tests on Friday. It is to be taken into account, for the travelers, the delay of return of the results which is at least 36 hours; the tests being analyzed by the Pasteur Institute in Guadeloupe.
• The BPA Laboratory performs PCR tests by appointment at its Hope Estate drive, it tests in priority contact cases and people needing hospitalization. On Saturdays, the Bio Pôle Antilles (BPA) laboratory will be accessible for PCR samples (around 60) via the drive, by appointment only.

Its PCR testing capacity is 150 samples per day.

Monitoring of indicators
The ARS vigilantly monitors the indicators put in place for the monitoring of deconfinement:
-The incidence rate which measures the number of people positive for Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants over a period of one week.

In Saint-Martin,
Epidemiological indicators are sharply increasing this week. It should be noted that the use of screening is on the rise.
• The weekly incidence rate, according to Si-DEP data, is still very high this week and is (for 7 weeks) well above the alert threshold. It stands (for all cases in Saint-Martin tested on the territory or residents tested outside the territory) at 293.7 / 100,000 inhabitants in week 21, against 341.3 / 100,000 in week 20.
• The weekly positivity rate, still according to the SI-DEP data, is above the vigilance threshold * with a rate of 6.1%, it remains very high and comparable to week 20 (6.4%).
The indicators are very high this week again. The situation is very worrying in view of the number of hospitalizations as well as the deaths that we deplore again this week. All this data should alert us and encourage us not to lower our vigilance and to continue the efforts made on a daily basis while always respecting barrier gestures. Equally important is understanding the value of getting vaccinated in order to prevent the spread of the disease in its most severe forms. Protecting the most vulnerable is a collective responsibility to which everyone must contribute.
As of June 2, a cluster was registered in a social housing and integration establishment accounting for 7 cases.

In Saint-Barthélemy,
• The incidence rate is down again this week. It stands at 51.1 / 100,000 inhabitants, according to SI-DEP data (vs. 71.5 / 100,000 in week 20).
• The positivity rate, which has also fallen slightly this week, is 0.8%, it remains below the vigilance threshold according to the SI-DEP data (vs. 0.9% in week 20).

No new cluster has been registered for 8 consecutive weeks.

The CH Louis-Constant Fleming and the CH de Bruyn remain very committed to the management of the crisis. On June 9, 11 confirmed Covid patients were hospitalized in the medical department of the CH LC. A confirmed Covid patient as well as a suspected Covid patient are hospitalized in the medical department of CG de Bruyn.

In week 22, we deplore the death of 3 COVID-positive patients in the medical department of the LCF hospital as well as the death of a COVID-positive patient from Saint-Martin hospitalized in intensive care in Guadeloupe.

4 medical evacuations of COVID positive patients were carried out, to Guadeloupe, during week 22.

Monitoring of indicators

In Saint-Martin,
Epidemiological indicators show a certain stabilization, at a high level, of the situation. It should be noted that the use of screening is on the rise.
• If we consider only the people tested in the territory, the incidence rate is still above the alert threshold, settling at 316.1 / 100,000 this week 22 (source SI-DEP ARS). If we consider all the residents of Saint-Martin who entered SI-DEP (Public Health France data), the weekly incidence rate is, again this week, very high and is (this for 8 weeks) well above. above the alert threshold. It stands (for all the cases in Saint-Martin tested on the territory or residents tested outside the territory) at 325.47 / 100,000 inhabitants in week 22, against 348.76 / 100,000 in week 21.

• The weekly positivity rate, according to the SI-DEP ARS data, is at the limit of the vigilance threshold * this week with a rate of 5% in week 22 (vs. 6.2% in week 21). According to public health data in France, the positivity rate is above the vigilance threshold * with a rate of 7.24%, it is comparable to week 21 (7.86%).

The indicators are very high this week again. The situation remains worrying in view of the number of hospitalizations, medical evacuations as well as the deaths that we still deplore. All this data should alert us and encourage us not to lower our vigilance and to continue the efforts made on a daily basis while always respecting barrier gestures.

It is equally important to understand the value of getting vaccinated in order to prevent the spread of the disease in its most severe forms. Fragile people, of all ages, often carriers of chronic diseases, must take particular care to protect themselves through barrier gestures but also by limiting physical contact (hugs, hugs, etc.). In the event of symptoms, these people are invited to contact their doctor at the first signs. Don't wait until you have serious signs!

As of June 9, a cluster in the workplace, counting 7 cases, is under investigation.

In Saint-Barthélemy,
• The incidence rate is down again this week. It stands at 40.8 / 100,000 inhabitants, according to data from SI-DEP ARS (vs. 51.1 / 100,000 in week 21). If we consider all the residents of Saint-Barthélemy entered in SI-DEP (Public Health France data), the weekly incidence rate is 30.12 / 100,000 inhabitants.
• The positivity rate, down again this week, is 0.5%, it remains below the vigilance threshold according to the SI-DEP data (vs. 0.8% in week 21). According to the SI-DEP Health data Public France, the positivity rate is also down, to 0.34% against 0.81 in week 21.

No new cluster has been registered since early April.

glad it's so low...

doing well here too. latest daily rolling average of positive tests is 11,600. or 81,000 over 7 days. US approx 33,000 times population of SBH. so 6 (weekly total) times 33,000 equals 198,000. just to put things into perspective.

Delta variant is indeed spreading rapidly and will be the dominant variant in all countries. Already it is 90% of infections in UK, 50% in USA, 60% in Germany, etc.

The good news is that the vaccine works well, and those with 2 doses are well protected. Most of the hospitalisations are in the unvaccinated.

vaccinations going well :-

USA: 65.1% 1st dose, 55.4% 2nd dose.
Europe: 54.1% 1st dose, 30.3% 2nd dose.
UK: 81% 1st dose, 59% 2nd dose.

Bulletin n ° 125- "Coronavirus" information:
COVID-19 situation update - Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy.
Week of Monday June 14 to 20, 2021

Saint-Martin :
For the week of June 14 to 20, 2021 (week 24, data stopped on June 20), there are 49 new cases in the territory of Saint-Martin (source SI-DEP ARS, people tested in Saint-Martin), a declining figure this week (vs 90 new cases in week 23). A total of 53 positives are recorded over the same week by Public Health France (SPF), which includes in its figures people with a main residence in Saint-Martin and tested both in France and on the island. Taking into account the consolidated data from the previous weeks, this brings to 2,276 the number of cumulative cases of coronavirus confirmed in the territory (SI-DEP SPF data).

It should be noted that since 06/21/2021 (current week 25), 15 new cases of COVID have already been recorded out of 725 analyzes carried out.

The small number of screening RT-PCRs (variant search) entered in SI-DEP does not allow Public Health France to show the real rate of variants. However, tracking the ARS allows us to say that we are 100% Alpha Variants.

Saint-Barthélemy:
For the week of June 14 to 20, 2021 (week 24, data stopped on June 20), there are 3 new cases in the territory of Saint-Barthélemy (source SI-DEP ARS, people tested in Saint-Barthélemy), against 6 in week 23. 3 new positive cases are also recorded by Public Health France (SPF) which includes in its figures people with a main residence in Saint-Barthélemy and tested both in France and on the island. This brings the number of cumulative confirmed coronavirus cases to 953 (SI-DEP SPF data).

Since 06/21/2021 (current week 25), 2 new cases of COVID have been recorded out of 131 analyzes carried out.

The low number of screening RT-PCRs (variant search) entered in SI-DEP does not allow Public Health France to show the real rate of variants. However, tracking the ARS allows us to say we are 100% Alpha-type variants this week again.

Hospitalized and deceased:
The CH Louis-Constant Fleming and the CH de Bruyn remain very committed to the management of the crisis. As of June 22, 6 confirmed Covid patients were hospitalized in the medical department of the CH LCF. A patient is hospitalized in the medical department of CG de Bruyn on suspicion of COVID.
Since the beginning of this week (25), we have deplored the death of a patient from Saint-Martin, confirmed COVID, hospitalized for several weeks in the intensive care unit of the CHU de Guadeloupe.

Since the start of the health crisis, 34 Saint-Martin residents have died.

There was no medical evacuation of a COVID-positive patient to Guadeloupe during week 24.

Number of tests:
In Saint-Martin: 1,056 additional tests were carried out in week 24 (PCR and antigens), for a total of 39,038 tests recorded with SPF data. 1,743 additional tests (PCR and antigens) according to SI-DEP ARS data.

Current point:
As travel conditions have changed, for inter-island trips or to mainland France, anyone who does not have the complete vaccination schedule must be provided with a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours at the time of boarding or else a negative antigen test of less than 48 hours.
The drive installed in Marigot (behind the Mac Donald) is open from Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., it tests both contact cases and travelers.

The BPA Laboratory carries out PCR tests by appointment at its Hope Estate drive, it tests in priority contact cases and people needing hospitalization. On Saturdays, the Bio Pôle Antilles (BPA) laboratory is accessible for PCR samples (around 60), by appointment only.

People wishing to access an antigen test are invited to contact pharmacies in the territory (Sun, Soualiga, Concordia, Bellevue, Caribbean) which each have their own test schedules.

In Saint-Barthélemy:
479 additional tests were carried out (PCR and antigens) in week 24, for a total of 32,494 tests recorded with SPF data. 456 additional tests (PCR and antigens) according to SI-DEP ARS data.

Indicator monitoring:

In Saint-Martin, Epidemiological indicators confirm a slight decrease this week again, but call for our full vigilance to avoid a further deterioration of the health situation. Indeed, the situation remains fragile and can change very quickly. According to SI-DEP ARS data, the incidence rate, although down this week, is still above the alert threshold, standing at 137.1 / 100,000 this week 24 against 251.8 / 100,000 in week 23. According to SI-DEP Santé Publique France data, the weekly incidence rate is also down slightly. It stands at 150/100 000 inhabitants in week 24, compared to 243/100 000 in week 23. According to SI-DEP ARS data, the weekly positivity rate is, again this week, below the vigilance threshold * with a rate of 2.8% in week 24 against 4.3% in week 23. According to public health data in France, the positivity rate is down, this week, despite everything, it remains at the level of the vigilance threshold * with a rate of 5%, against 6.1% week 23. The indicators, although stabilized, remain worrying this week again. The situation requires our vigilance in view of the number of hospitalizations, as well as the death that we still deplore at the start of the week. We must therefore continue the efforts made daily while respecting, at a minimum, barrier gestures! Equally important is understanding the value of getting vaccinated in order to prevent the spread of the disease in its most severe forms. As of June 22, there are no new clusters registered in the territory.

In Saint-Barthélemy, The incidence rate is dropping this week. It stands at 30.6 / 100,000 inhabitants, according to data from SI-DEP ARS (vs. 71.5 / 100,000 in week 23). If we consider all the residents of Saint-Barthélemy entered in SI-DEP (Public Health France data), the weekly incidence rate is 30.12 / 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate, down this week, is 0.7%, it remains below the vigilance threshold according to the SI-DEP ARS data (vs 1.1% in week 23). If we consider the SI-DEP Public Health France data, the positivity rate is also down, to 0.63% against 1.29% in week 23. No new cluster has been registered since early April.

Vaccination:
Since June 15, the vaccination has been open to minors between 12 and 18 years old. For the moment, only the Pfizer BioNTech messenger RNA vaccine has a marketing authorization for 12 years and over. For the vaccination of minors, the authorization of both parents is required. In the event of the absence of one of the two parents, the parent present completes the certificate and agrees on honor to have previously obtained the consent of the absent parent and co-holder of parental authority. Likewise, a parental certificate must be collected and then kept systematically. It is available on the website of the Ministry of Solidarity and Health. Finally, in accordance with the recommendations of the National Consultative Ethics Committee of June 8, 2021, minors aged 12 and over receive, during the preparatory interview for vaccination, clear information adapted to their age on Covid-19 and on vaccines. This collection of consent does not require a form or written commitment: it must be taken orally by the healthcare professional during the preparatory interview for the vaccination.

Saint-Martin :
Vaccination continues in Saint-Martin and concerns people of all ages, with the opening since May 4 of a vaccinodrome in Galisbay (in front of the car park, on the carnival site). It is carried by the Red Cross and uses the Pfizer bioNtech vaccine. For people over the age of 18, it is sufficient to have proof of residence in Saint-Martin (electricity, water, telephone bill, etc.) or a Vitale card to present themselves, when they wish (not appointment), to benefit from a vaccination (the operation takes about twenty minutes, between administrative procedures, injection and monitoring). For minors from 12, just follow the recommendations above, the vaccination is also done without appointment on the Galisbay site. The vaccinodrome is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Saturday inclusive. The vaccination center located at the Louis Constant Fleming hospital continues to operate alongside the vaccinodrome under the same procedures: online appointment booking (santé.fr) or call to the RIPOSTE unit. Vaccination, via the Astra Zeneca vaccine, continues for patients over 55, it is carried out in town by attending physicians and pharmacists. The MODERNA, messenger RNA vaccine is available in town, both in pharmacies and in doctors. The performance of this vaccine is equivalent to that of PFIZER both in terms of efficacy (90% to 95%) and safety. Injections can therefore now be done in an authorized pharmacy or in a doctor's office (be careful, each pharmacy or doctor is organized as he wishes, so you need to get closer to them to find out how to access the vaccine). As of June 22, 7,706 people have received their first injection and 4,283 people have received their second injection. Vaccination having started on January 13. 22.62% of the population aged over 12 in Saint-Martin has received at least one dose of vaccine since the campaign was launched last January. It should be noted that according to the old calculation criteria (population aged over 18), the vaccination coverage rate is 29.63%. It is necessary to speed up vaccination in order to protect the most vulnerable but also to create collective immunity on the island.

Saint-Barth:
Vaccination is, for the month of June, suspended from the CMS. Vaccinations are done at Bruyn Hospital by appointment, via the Maiia website. He still offers the PFIZER vaccine. As of June 22, 5,074 (following a readjustment of the figures) people have received their first injection and 4,022 people have received their second injection. The Astra Zeneca vaccine is also available for people over 55, in town, on Saint-Barthélemy. The MODERNA, messenger RNA vaccine has arrived in town. It was delivered to pharmacies and doctors. Injections can now be done in an authorized pharmacy and at the doctor's office. 50.12% of the population aged over 12 in Saint-Barthélemy has received at least one dose of vaccine since the campaign was launched last January. It should be noted that according to the old calculation criteria (population aged over 18), the vaccination coverage rate is 60.88%.

There is going to be a Delta resurgence globally. SBH has a high % vaccinated. Other countries don’t such as the U.S. SBH as an island may do ok but other countries won’t. Let’s see what happens with borders.

Monitoring of indicators
In Saint-Martin,
Epidemiological indicators are down again this week, but vigilance is still required in order to avoid a further deterioration of the health situation. Indeed, the situation remains fragile and can change very quickly.

According to SI-DEP ARS data, the incidence rate, although down this week, is still above the alert threshold, standing at 103.5 / 100,000 this week 25 against 134.3 / 100,000 in week 24.

According to SI-DEP Santé Publique France data, the weekly incidence rate is also down slightly.
It stands at 116/100 000 inhabitants in week 25, against 150/100 000 in week 24.

According to SI-DEP ARS data, the weekly positivity rate is, again this week, below the vigilance threshold * with a rate of 1.7% in week 25 against 2.8% in week 24.

According to public health data in France, the positivity rate is decreasing, this week, it falls below the vigilance threshold * with a rate of 3%, against 5% week 24.

The indicators, although stabilized, remain worrying this week again. The situation requires our full vigilance in view of the still high number of hospitalizations, as well as the 3 deaths that we still deplore during week 25 and the death at the start of the week. We must therefore continue the efforts made daily while respecting barrier gestures!

Equally important is understanding the value of getting vaccinated in order to prevent the spread of the disease in its most severe forms. Fragile people, of all ages, often carriers of chronic diseases, must take particular care to protect themselves through barrier gestures but also by limiting contact physical (hugs, hugs, etc.). In the event of symptoms, these people are invited to contact their doctor at the first signs. Don't wait until you have serious signs!
