Sint Maarten, often referred to by the Princess Juliana Airport code of SXM, has already opened to Canadian travelers, and is presently scheduled to open to US travelers effective August 1, 2020. SXM has made several recent updates to their Entry requirements. These requirements apply to both travelers overnighting on SXM, and to most Transit passengers.
As of the July 22, 2020 update, new requirements, including the following, apply:
A negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure, with results received within the 72 hours.
A health declaration must be made on the https://stmaartenentry.com/ and a copy of your PCR test results must be included. (Bring copies of both the health declaration and the PCR results)
Masks must be worn at all times within the airport building, and are recommended to be worn while traveling.
These are just part of the requirements. The requirements have changed this month, and may change again. The best source of information on the SXM entry requirements is the https://stmaartenupdates.com website. Given that the requirements may change again, my suggestion is to not just check the site once, but to check it regularly.
