Ohhhh missed it... we walked early to Colombier beach this am.. there was about 5 ppl getting set up on the beach for a private picnic for someone.. big marquee and chairs and tables.

from la poissonerie yesterday: daurade, thon, fino, and vieille. not sure what english name for vieille is. help?

Vieille seems to be ballan wrasse (Labris bergylta) is a species of marine ray finned fish from the family Labridae, the wrasses or maybe perch. It is found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, where it inhabits rocky areas.

Rosemond says only used for court bouillon, fish stew, or fish soup in these parts (like a lot of the reef fish) not good for grilling
