And this one is different in so many ways.

Makes a man wonder what is being spoken under those grave stones about the folks talking behind a mask. Happy Memorial Day

A day to set all else aside for remembrance and gratitude in honor of the courage and sacrifice of so many.

Exactly right. A somber day to show gratitude for those who made the supreme sacrifice so that we could be free.

RIP

On Long Island the Scouts and Veterans do the flag planting at each grave at Pinelawn. A wonderful tradition.

Very nice. Our son ( retired Navy and his children) will be planting flags at the National cemetery in Bourne.

Also, on the East Coast a call went out for those who have a trumpet or bugle and can play TAPS, to please stand in front of their home at 3pm and play that beautiful haunting melody in tribute to our fallen heroes.

That is a nice unifying tradition to launch this year.

Our family enjoyed a delicious grilling on our rear deck. At 3:00pm we all stood at attention and listened to the playing of TAPS. Thank you to all the men and women that made the ultimate sacrifice for our FREEDOM. Not ever taken for granted in our Family.
