Property rights vs. nirvana. Anyone that has visited St. Barts since the 1980's has seen huge changes. However it is still our favorite vacation destination. Nantucket has a tax on real estate sales that goes to buying open property that removes it from development. Do not know if St. Barts has something similar.

Makes far more sense to me than 6 or 7 bedroom homes that are used maybe 8 to 10 weeks all year. There is a need for smaller homes for medical, teaching, and administrative personnel. And weekly and yearly rental smaller homes are also in demand.

Basically the diagram and plan posted was not the plan in the comments. I am confused.

I am seeing two permits. Which sites are they For and are diagrams of these two developments available?

Good catch, Amy! I don't know if it's related to these signs, but there's also construction in approximately the same location of some new "staff housing" for the Guanahani Hotel -- perhaps one of the signs relates to this project?
