I just received this email from Delta. They seem to be very fluid in their policy, which makes good sense based on what's going on in the world.

Updates To Our Waiver Policy For You

Taking care of you is at the center of everything we do. This situation remains very fluid, and we are committing the utmost care and attention into crafting and continuously evaluating our travel waiver policies. As a result, on April 17, 2020, we made two updates to our waiver policy:

• We are waiving the change fee for canceled travel from flights in March through September 2020.

• We are extending the validity of your eCredit for use through September 2022.

If you previously received an eCredit extension email from us, this serves as an update to our previous communication to you.

All applicable eCredits will be automatically extended for travel to be completed through September 30, 2022, so there’s no action needed on your part. We are actively working on a solution to display the new expiration dates in all the places you can find your eCredits on delta.com. So even if your eCredit for canceled travel has not yet been processed or extended, or is temporarily displaying incorrectly, there is no need to call. Rest assured your flight value is secure through September 30, 2022 and will be ready to redeem online when you need it. If you are ready to book your new trip now and don’t yet see your eCredit or have an issue booking via delta.com, please have your old ticket number ready when you call our Reservations team.

Your eCredit can be applied toward a new flight, and in some instances a fare difference will apply. If the new fare is lower, you’ll retain the balance on your eCredit. If the new fare is higher, the difference will be collected.

This policy applies to Delta-marketed flights. For flights marketed by our partners, their policies will apply. Get more information on travel flexibility with our partner airlines.

Provided A/A stays in business, they have had lots of problems the past couple of years. Not my prefered airline, just my opinion
