Lots of building going on in Flamands.
1. when you go around the curve at the bottom of the hill, if you turn right, its cheval blanc, ( do not turn right)
keep traveling bearing to your left on the main road and within 50 feet on your left you will see a huge construction project, very noisy and very dirty, traffic to get around the cars parked by the construction workers is not easy.
2. next on your left about another quarter of a mile on the main road another construction site, building of one villa I think.
3. after you pass sainte-helene grocery store, about 100 feet traveling on the main road, another construction site behind one of the houses.
4. after that travel another 50 feet on the main road, a construction site will be on your left, very noisy.
5, on top of all this building in flamands, there is a constant in and out of large MAN trucks on the road carrying large rocks and they are dumping them near petite anse area.
6. lots and lots of concrete trucks exceeding the speed limit which is crazy, not sure how they could stop easily.
hope this answers your questions. If you can change your reservation because of all this construction, you should do so.
There seems to be more construction in the Flamands area than anywhere else on the island. Even parking for the beach access is taken up by the construction workers.
