We all went to Kinugawa for the first time last week. I posted a favorable review on the Forum.
I shared our opinions by email with a number of friends who know and love the island. Several of them contacted us back saying they didn’t like the name of the restaurant. I told my wife, thinking there must be something in French meaning something I wasn’t aware of. One couple said the name sounded ‘naughty.’
She asked to see the emaiIs I sent out. She quickly found why our friends commented the way they did. Instead of Kinugawa I had typed ‘Kunigawa.’ Oops!
Now our friends tell us they can not get the misspelled name out of their heads and will forever think of the restaurant as the misspelling. And I will be teased about it over the years.
