Valentines night at l’Esprit

The evening started with thunder and lightning. During dinner big winds caressed us while under the roof of Jean Claude. When we entered, JC came out of the kitchen and greeted me saying ‘Ahh- the soufflé man.’
Seared Foie Gras, King Crab Ravioli and Duck Spring Rolls as starters with delicious Mojitos. Petale de Rose made it’s appearance along with the Cod topped with Duck, Scallops Rossini and best Veal dish in quite a while.
All followed by Grand Marnier soufflés.
Herve and Christophe were in their usual humorous moods and served us well. The restaurant was sold out. For Valentines night and day- lunch- make reservations well in advance.
Amy, Phil, Soyabeans, CEC (Dennis) and others dined nearby.
We drove home and were welcomed by continued fireworks in the sky of more lightning, thunder and rain for numerous hours, while we dreamed about our favorite island.
