L’ardoise

I parked near Villa Creole when we went to St. Jean beach so it was natural to walk in to L’ardoise. A nice surprise. The menu was varied and a whole grilled lobster tail for 33 euros- and that’s not by the gram. The pork filet with beans looked good too- pork and beans? A very filling and nice lunch for first time customers.

Andy; L'Ardoise is a great spot to enjoy. I forget the name of the beer they have on tap, but it hits the spot. Their pizza, appetizers, and specials are always good. And I know staff always changes, but 1 1/2 years ago they kept us happy and laughing.

We met up with Chris from the old Andy's Hideaway when dining there.

Was patron smoking a problem?

Looks great! The only reasons why I haven't tried L'Ardoise are 1) the parking situation, which you solved, and 2) the occasional "whiff" that I've experienced while dining at the previous restaurants at that location. The food looks great, and the prices are friendlier than most. Perhaps I should give them a try.

Did you happen to notice if they were serving pizza at lunch?

Andy, we have enjoyed L'ardoise many times, they usually have nice lunch specials for great prices. Looks like you son made a wise choice. Wow lobster for 33 Euros. Thank you for sharing your pictures, they are vivid.

Looks like a wonderful lunch! We’ve walked by L’ardoise many times but never dined there. It’s on our radar for May. Thanks for posting, Andy.

Given that we stay each year at Le Village, I can't believe we didn't know about this place! Sounds like a great option for a more relaxed dinner. That lobster is basically my dream meal! Thanks for posting.
