What do the Tortoises eat on the island?

We thought lettuce. Answer- they eat everything. Same for the hermit crabs which we thought were generally meat eaters.
At Manypany, the employees know where the tortoise ‘nest’ is which is the home for at least four of them. They have names for them- one of which is ‘Denise.’ Our guess is no one really knows genders.
As Amy warned us in another post, David, the head of dining at Manypany, said Denise and her friends are cute... but they leave lots of ‘presents’ that are stepped in unknowingly.
David said tortoises eat everything. We confirmed it at the villa. We watched hermits dissecting spaghetti, pulling long strands of spaghetti from a compact pile. Bread is demolished by the tortoise/s. They are not discriminatory between the two bakeries.
Literally everything put out in terms of leftovers is gone. We have received no thank you presents.

Tortoises truly enjoy cantelope and watermelon. However, they will eat anything. We had a lot of fun at our villa last month by putting out breakfast, lunch and dinner scrapes for them. At the peak, we attracted 4-tortoises, 1-iguana and 12-large hermit crabs. Grandkids enjoyed the experiments, they devoured everything we put out. Interestingly, they preferred Jean-Claude's doggie box leftovers the best!

There was a villa above Flamand called Deux Sisters that we stayed at. There was a large Lizard called King Arthur who somehow climbed onto our counter and ate a large amount of our fruit while we were out. From that point on everything was safely secured.

Then I am supposing you will need to capture two of the same size to make an intelligent guess.

I have found the logical determination of a Tortoise sex, the one on top when they are copulating.
