This would be another novel by an author that I previously enjoyed (THE ADDRESS, the story of New York’s Dakota Hotel/apartment building.)

In this book we get the history of GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL as well as a picture of the art world of the 30’s, the struggle for recognition of Female artists and illustrators, and the battle to keep landmark status for the terminal that was finally granted due to the involvement of New Yorker Jackie Kennedy Onassis and many other preservationist who did not want to see its uniqueness demolished as had been the case with Penn Station.

Just discovered her in June...very well researched and I am familiar with all the buildings in NY That she has chosen for me To read and Learn about.

Now reading CHELSEA GIRLS, the Chelsea Hotel is featured.
