Departure worked extremely well. We checked in at the airport with St. Barths Commuter for our charter, all went smoothly. While Anita was overseeing that portion, I drove one by one vehicles returned to car rental company, went quickly and smoothly. The group got seating at Le Jardin for lunch whilst I went to WIMCO to print our United Airlines boarding passes. We enjoyed the lunch special at Le Jardin, a couple of our group ordered the burgers, which they relayed were delicious. Service is always great at Le Jardin.

St. Barths Commuter departed timely from SBH for the quick trip to SXM. Laura got to sit in the co-pilot seat. When we arrived at SXM, we went through the transit line, escorted by St. Barths Commuter representative with United Airlines boarding passes in hand and carry on luggage only. 20-minutes for landing at SXM till sitting at gate 8 awaiting boarding our United flight. Not bad for a group of 11. We arrived at Washington Dulles 25-minutes early. All is well in our small world.

Laura is departing today in her MINI Countryman for her next journey in life. She graduated with honors from Christendom College in December. She is relocating to Tampa, Florida and dancing with the Tampa City Ballet. Her car is packed fully, please pray for her safe travels. She has lots of rehearsals ahead of her in preparation for the first Show on February 21st.

Super conclusion of a super vacation. And good luck Laura with both dance and romance. Great meeting you.

Hello Cass,
Good question, I have never asked Happy Villa because WIMCO lets anyone print them without question and it is extremely convenient to the airport. It is self service at WIMCO. I took the advice of a Forum member years ago to print boarding passes at WIMCO.

Bob . . . you & Anita are consummate managers! Smoothly moving your team from place to place . . . taking a lemon & making lemonade when restaurant vagaries threatened a nice luncheon . . . cars returned, check-in accomplished, boarding passes printed, & still time for lunch before departure! Congratulations on a great travel success. Next up, as I recall . . . SBH in May with sons. We’ll be looking forward to the next installment happy Gelles Family travels.

Hello Dennis,
Thank you for the kind words from a kind gentleman. Next up is March with sons and granddaughter, they love water sports so trip will incorporate lots of surfing, scuba, paddle boarding and hiking. Then Anita and I alone in May. There is always so much to do on St. Barts, offering spectacular views above and below the surface of the water.

I’ll miss you in March (i.e., departing from upcoming trip in late February), but will be on the island from mid-May into early June. Maybe a time to meet. Meanwhile . . . again — your contributions to the Forum create great exchanges. Very much appreciated (as someone who likes lively commentary & feedback).

Dad/Bob, thanks once again for taking us all along on your weeks on St Barths with Anita & or family, all that you do, accomplish, where you go for fun, excercise & dining. IF you ever retire, think book !

Love you Nancy. I do not believe think book is in my dna. Not against reading, just prefer to work with my hands and create things every waking moment, God willing!

We always print at WIMCO too. The last two years in a row they asked us if we rented through WIMCO - we did not. We weren't sure if they were going to deny us if we said no and we of course knew they could check if we said yes and weren't going to lie, so we simply said not this time and asked about our old concierge whom we used a few years ago so that they knew we at least had used WIMCO in the past. I kind of got the feeling that perhaps they were getting too many non WIMCO visitors coming through and printing boarding passes. My solution would be charge 5 or 10 euros to each non WIMCO group and everyone is happy.

I've never asked, but perhaps WIMCO takes the view that if you're not a client, then you're a prospect.

Hello Andy,
Last Saturday morning, I asked if I could print 11-boarding passes and the kind woman said "please help yourself, if you have any problems, let me know". I replied thank you very much. She even offered by a bottle of water which I responde "no thank you". We have used WIMCO in the past, but it has been 3-years ago.
