A big day in Lurin. Well, for me anyway. Sitting outside and enjoying watching the calico cat, Cali, settling down to take her three o’clock, nap and B I N G O...what to my wandering eye should appear, but a ruby throated hummingbird so tiny and dear! The first I have seen up here since Irma hit in September 2017. WELCOME back feathered friend. Joyful day.

Should have titled this thread
LOOK WHAT THE WINDS BLEW IN!

I was so excited for you, Amy, to read “Hummingbird sighting!” And so happy for the island to have it finding a return of nature.

I knew when it said “Hummingbird Sighting” who saw it. That is good news for the island and lucky you to see it. Do you put a feeder out?

Your 2020 bird-sighting is off to a grand start! I'm thrilled that this little friend has found its way back to your line of sight in Lurin.

We were also thrilled to see a hummingbird take a rest at our perch in Pointe Milou this afternoon! Hopefully, it's not the same one Amy hosted. :blush-smile:
