Ali or Alex is the son of Cross the detective in Patterson’s long running series. The book is short and geared to young readers. Ali’s best friend disappears and the search is the plot. There is a sidebar regarding Cross where he is on trial for battery. Both situations are resolved at the end.
Don’t bother with this one. Just pass on by to better reads.

Loved when this series began. Pass on them now. Ho hum...life is too short.
