The Button Man- A novel by Andrew Gross

This most likely will become a movie. It is based on the real life story of the author’s grandfather but of course fictionalized. Takes place in the garment district of New York when the gangs extracted their ‘union dues and protection payments from the successful clothing manufacturers. It is well written and holds your attention including the surprise ending on the very last page. No spoilers here!

Henry, SOYABEANS, had told me this was also published under another title. Of course, I do not remember its name.

I enjoyed the story, recommended it to him a while back and he then told me there was once another title.

It was written I believe in 2018 and published only under that name ‘me thinks.’

Terrific family saga. Have to check with Henry about that.

Read it last year as THE LAST BROTHER.
