This is a heartbreaking tale of post WWII love between a young American sailor who is stationed on board a ship In Yokohama and the 17 year old girl that wins his heart. The story is told by his daughter, a journalist, who finds a letter and a scarf and tries to find the story of the bride he had left in Japan. A good story and, tissue worthy.

I am a sucker for WWII stories. Thanks, Amy---looks like a good one.
