Given that he had a home on the island, it is interesting to learn about the life of the ballet dancer in movie- The White Crow. It is a history of his boyhood and the early years of his career up to and including when he took political asylum in France. Good music, scenery and a tough story of a troubled but very talented artist.


A “white crow” is a Russian idiom meaning a misfit, an oddball, someone who doesnot fit the mold – a perfect description for ballet star Rudolph Nureyev. ... I am not sure where this fits in, but I just started reading David Coggins' book "Blue" and he says that Nureyev built a house in Grand Fond. He actually bought an existing house from the Grover family.
